July 31 will bring the Led Zeppelin reissue campaign to a close with the release of remastered and expanded versions of Zep’s final two albums, 1976’s Presence and 1979’s In Through the Out Door, as well as the posthumous rarities collection, 1982’s Coda.

As was the case with all the earlier reissues, expanded versions of each of the albums feature outtakes, alternate takes and rough mixes from the album sessions. One of the bonus tracks from In Through the Out Door is a rough mix of “In the Evening,” a Robert Plant/Jimmy Page/John Paul Jones co-write, which saw the band experimenting with synthesizers, while still keeping Page’s mammoth guitar sound.
The “rough mix” sounds pretty fully realized, although there are some differences in Plant’s vocals.
