Adam Lambert: ‘I Would Love To Sing Some Led Zeppelin’

American Idol superstar and current Queen frontman Adam Lambert has his sights set on another legendary band. The rocker tells NME that he dreams of singing with Led Zeppelin.

While Lambert’s solo career began via a music-based reality show competition, fans truly got a taste of his powerhouse voice when he joined Queen as their lead singer in 2011. The band recently announced an expansive UK and Ireland tour set to begin later this year.

Speaking about his fantasy of singing for Zeppelin, Lambert told NME, “I’ve got the full fantasy so I don’t know if I would even attempt to do another.

“I don’t know, that’s a big question, I mean I would love to sing some Led Zeppelin.”

Lambert also discussed what fans can expect from Queen’s massive tour, saying, “We have fans that have come and seen us more than once and many of them that have been around the last four or five years. So it’s important to not feel like we’re just repeating ourselves, even though we’re gonna still perform the same massive hits that Queen is so well known for. We’re trying to put in different context and give different visuals or companions to them. It’s going to be fun, I’m excited for the challenge of tweaking the whole show and making it feel new.”

This year is the 40th anniversary of Queen’s classic LP News Of The World that brought us some of our favorite Queen songs including We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions.
